How it works

A reading routine with something to look forward to.

01

Make it personal

Choose a reading level and interests. Your child becomes the main character in their own story.

02

Read & answer

Your child reads their story and answers questions to practice understanding what they read.

03

Encourage their effort

Track activity and work toward a reward together. You decide the rewards and pay for them—not The Reading Bank.

More than reading the words

Read a little. Think a little.

Comprehension questions invite your child to think about what happened in the story and what it means.

You’re part of the story

Their effort. Your encouragement.

Follow reading activity in your parent dashboard and manage the rewards you choose to offer. Rewards are set and paid by you, the parent.

From Reading Bank families

In their own words.

“As a parent, seeing him choose to read on his own has been amazing. The Reading Bank turned something that used to be a battle into something he genuinely wants to do.”
Chris PRoseville, CA
“What made it even better was seeing him become the main character in stories about the sports he loves. He’s not only reading more, he’s learning about the game while he reads. Suddenly, reading became something that was personal, fun, and connected to a goal he was excited about.”
Angela SGranite Bay, CA

A few good questions

Before you come in.

When am I charged?

A card is required. Eligible new accounts get a free 7-day trial. After 7 days, the Monthly plan automatically renews at $9.99/mo unless you cancel before the trial ends. See our Terms.

How do I cancel?

Go to Parent Dashboard > Manage subscription. Sign in to the parent account used at checkout and enter your Parent PIN, then choose cancellation and confirm it. During a trial, choose Cancel Trial Before Charge before the exact trial-end date and time shown in your dashboard to avoid the subscription charge.

Trial access continues until the trial ends. Paid plans cancel at the end of the current billing period. Your learning data stays saved. Deleting an account does not cancel billing.
